Gala 2024

Talent Machine Gala a Joyful Success!

Our Celebrating Broadway Gala was filled with heart, celebrations and success, thanks to our amazing sponsors, silent auction contributors and bidders, donors to our “Be the Energy” Live Ask that evening, attendees, young performers, MC Wiley Baker, and the countless volunteers who brought the event to life.

We met our goal: To raise funds to help further our mission ~ expanding opportunities for children to experience the joy and power of musical theater.

Special Thank You to Our Marquee Sponsor

Friends of Shane,” a team of more than 50 individuals, families and businesses, raised more than $10,000 to become the Gala’s Marquee Sponsor. They donated in honor of the Shane Coleman, whose experience with The Talent Machine as a performer and production assistant has been life-changing.

“Reflecting on my nephew Shane’s journey, it’s clear that his involvement with The Talent Machine family—from his roles as a cast member to a production assistant and now as part of the Annie Jr. cast—has been nothing short of transformative,” wrote Lisa Smith, Shane’s aunt and the driver behind the Friends of Shane team. “Under the nurturing guidance of Lea Capps, Judy Curbelo and the entire supportive team…Shane, along with others facing similar obstacles, has realized his talent.”

“Musical theater is about so much more than singing and dancing. For our Company, it’s also about the energy and commitment it takes to bring it to life, the risks that kids take to put themselves out there, the support they get from their peers and parent voluneers, and the thrill of moving an audience to laugh, to cry, to cheer,” said Company President Lea Capps in her remarks at the Gala.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Sponsors and Silent Auction Contributors

For a Company as small as The Talent Machine, every dollar goes a very long way toward covering the costs of providing this amazing experience to children and teens. Many thanks to our Gala Sponsors, Team Sponsors, and Silent Auction Contributors and Bidders, who raised enough to help us cover the cost of renting performance space this year, giving us a vitally needed cushion of funds to keep the energy alive.

Everyone involved in the Gala helped us keep this beautiful Company moving forward. Enjoy some photos from the Gala below and then view the full Photo Gallery.
